Cangkok Keladi: Easy with English

Ersa Izmi Safitri, one of the VDMI alumni from a non-partner university, shared her fun strategies in learning English on May 8 (from 13:00 to 14:00). Ersa is passionate about English since childhood. She then took the English education major in university and become an English teacher. She shared that she learns English by ‘not learning it’. She always tries to do her daily routine in English. For instance, when listening to music, she listens to English songs. When watching movies, she watches English movies or uses English subtitles. Ersa Highlighted that we can learn English in fun ways. Samuel Sianturi, a grantee from Sumatera Utara University, asked how Ersa get used to English. Ersa suggested, “Start by as simple as changing your mobile phone setting into English. Then you can try to adjust your other activities so that you get used to listening and speaking English
