Creative Writing Workshop “Menulis Untuk Perubahan”

To support soft skill in writing for the internship students, Van Deventer Maas Stichting hold creative writing workshop  “Menulis Untuk Perubahan”.

This event took place in Program Studi Keperawatan Ende from 20 – 22 April 2017, attended by the students from Program Studi Keperawatan Ende and SMK Tarbiyah. Continued on 26-27 April 2017 in Ruteng and the participants from SMK Sadar Wisata students. The representative of VDMS board that attended was Prof. Dr. Jan Passchier, Ibu Pariasih Manoto as the head of VDMS in Indonesia and staff.

On this occasion, the participants learned how to grow their passion in writing by starting write the simple things or every thing around them. They also learned how to make a short story, poem and list tickle.

For example the students from SMK Tarbiyah, start writing about their experience when sailing either as a fisherman or as a crewmember. Participants from Prodi Keperawatan Ende start writing their experiences in hospital or health center. Information about tourism objects and other natural potentials become the material of the students from SMK Sadar Wisata.

To sharpen these skills, the students are expected to share and write their experience during the internship.
