Pertemuan Regional Surabaya ke 20

The Regional Meeting 20th Surabaya was held in Airlangga University (UNAIR) Surabaya at 11 – 13 February 2016. The participants were VDMS grantees and alumni from ITS, UNAIR, UMACH, UHANTU, UWKS and UPETRA. The first speaker Ronny H. Mustamu with Basic Leadership: What is the meaning of Leadership and the meaning of “Lead”, Raising up as a New Leader, Leadership: To Lead is to Serve and what is the extraordinary Leaders do. The second speaker Dr. Neila Ramdhani, M.Si, M.Ed with “Career Plan – Goal Setting (Know Yourself), How to be Professional, Individual Profile – Personal Motivation.

When Bu Neila explained her session about Tips and Tricks of Interview. Many of participants raised their hands because the really want to be an interviewee. Some of advice for interview are prepare the outfit (use formal outfit and don’t use jacket/jeans) and don’t so serious if the interviewer give a joke to interviewee. Pak Ben shared his experience in interview to get a research in US. Also Pak Ben White shared about “Being and Becoming: the two faces of youth”. and shared about message from Betsy Maas. Many of participants excited with Pak Ben’s experience.
