Visit the Van Deventer-Maas Stichting Office in the Netherlands

June 3 – 11, 2023, VDMI Office team (Parche Manoto, Imbung Nurwanto, Dios and Alip) had the opportunity to visit Van Deventer-Maas Stichting’s (VDMS) Office in Den Haag, Netherlands. It was welcomed very warmly by VDMS Boards. We held meetings to update each other on information and plans for the half-year meetings as well as discussing documents from files stored in VDMS Office and further plans for archival projects.

Apart from visiting several historical places and unique buildings, the most important is the opportunity to visit the Grave of Mr. Conrad Theodor van Deventer (Coen van Deventer) and Mrs. Elisabeth M.L van Deventer (Besty Maas) in Begraafplaats & Crematorium Westerveld (Kruidbergerweg 2- 6, 1985 HG Driehuis, Netherlands).

Her services are enormous for VDMS/VDMI scholarship grantees because it’s her testament that the continuity of assistance for talented young Indonesian can continue. The event closed with farewell dinner, a joint dinner at Ute Jansen’s residence (Chairperson of VDMS Board)  together with VDMS Board Members and Honorary Board Members.
