[UPDATE] IDEAS Writing Challenge
After opening submissions from July 8th until December 8th, the IDEAS (Inspiration, Digitalization, Education, Art and Culture, and Science) Wiring Challenge has finally ended. In total, we received 141 articles from 43 writers who are also members of the Excellent Writing Club (EWC). At present, all of the articles are being graded by the juries. There will be 15-20 selected participants who will join the VDMI Excellent Writing Workshop in 2026.
As you wait for the results, we invite you to submit your articles to the EWC Platform on VDMI’s website. There are no specific curated themes for submitting articles on to the EWC Platform. The articles format is also more loosely regulated since you can submit various types of writings such as opinions or op-eds, short story, descriptive text, direct or longform news, personal and general reflections, as well as poems or proses. For the writings’ language you can either choose to write in Indonesian or English based on your convenience. The only thing we expect is for the writings aside from poems and prose to be at least 500-1000 words long.
To be able to submit your writings to the EWC Platform you are needed to be a member of the Excellence Writing Club and have a username and a password. Please contact Kak Alip via email (a.sustanto@vandeventermaas.or.id) to gain access in joining the writing club. On gaining your username and password, you can always log yourself in and submit your articles by accessing the login page after selecting the “Writing Club” section on the “Activities” menu. All articles will be reviewed by a VDMI staff and selected articles will be published in the VDMI Monthly Magazine.
We believe each and everyone of you possess valuable stories, experiences, or even opinions to tell. Write them down and let us know. We are eager to read and showcase more of your writings!
